The Stereo Brain blog was launched in 2015 as an outlet for founder Luke Priestley to find a creative way to cope with his mental health. Shortly after he moved to Cardiff and met business partner Calum at university where they created began promoting live music through their university society.

The pair then decided to make it official and the company Stereo Brain Limited was founded in August 2017. Predomently focused on promoting the pair have since put close to 50 shows and 2 festivals (Pwer Festival) in Cardiff. The idea was to build a community of alternative rock bands & punters to generate an environment for new bands to grow and develop within the city. Previously booked artists include Dream State, Vukovi, Nervus, Conjurer, Soeur & so many more!

In 2019 the company decided to make the big jump to becoming a label. They signed local pop punk band These Five Years and Cardiff-based electro-punks Nightlives.

Their first release was a CD compilation featuring artists from the Pwer Festival 2019 line up with all profits donated to Heads Above The Waves - a local mental health charity. It featured tracks from Soeur, CHROMA, Nightlives, These Five Years, PEAKS, FORT & Sienna.

These Five Years released their 2nd EP 'This Could All Be So Easy' on Stereo Brain Records on 27th September 2019. The EP has hit nearly 100,000 streams on Spotify and the band embarked on a short UK tour following the release.

Nightlives released their single 'Ways Of Making You Talk' on Stereo Brain Records on 8th November. It was released digitally and on limited edition 7" vinyl which also featured their previous single 'Under The Radar'.
